Senator Update #1 (Rec'd 2/22/06)

Senators Madden and Meyer met with Deputy Commissioner of DEP. DEP was sympathetic to the plight of the homeowners and stated that they were willing to work with homeowners within reason. DEP requested copies of Certificate of Occupancy (CO's)for each property on wetlands, which the senator's office indicated that they would go directly to the township to get the documentation. No action required of the homeowners.

Senator Update #2 (Rec'd 3/7/06)

CO's have been obtained. Deputy Commissioner of DEP now wants copies of all deeds. Senator's office has gone directly to county clerk's office and the clerk's office is willing to pull all deeds and forward to DEP. DEP is trying to verify if builder has properly documented deed restrictions. Again, no action required of the homeowners. It's expected that this step will take a while so we may not hear anything for a while.
