Town Watch News 20 April 2008

2008.04.20

We received the following report from Sgt. Bill Lee to the Town Watch groups in Washington Township. Emphasis on selected keywords has been added. -MAB

Hello everyone,

I will have a crime brief disseminated this week but some other urgent things have arised. There has been an increase in thefts from motor vehicles. I informed many of you early in the year about the thefts of GPS units. Although we have made recent arrests regarding this type of theft, they continue to occur not just in our jurisdiction but in the Delaware Valley. Again, please take the following items out of your vehicle when unoccupied: GPS, its mount, windshield disks and even wipe suction cup mark from the mount to prevent from being a victim.

Also, there have been a few residential burglaries in the Wedgewood sections of the township. A few locations they have occurred are off Dorado Ave and Forrest Drive. These burglaries are occurring in the morning hours when people are getting ready for work and school until shortly there after. Please call in any suspicious persons or motor vehicles to #256-1212.

Thanks,
Sgt. Lee
