Town Watch News 15 September 2007

2007.09.15

We received the following report from Sgt. Bill Lee to the Town Watch groups in Washington Township. Emphasis on selected keywords has been added. -MAB

Hello everyone,

I hope everyone is well. The fall is coming and many tend to leave their screens down on the windows at home. The cool breeze is nice but you are offering an opportunity for a burglar. When your home is unoccupied or you are on the 2nd level when sleeping, please secure the windows. Many of the burglaries below have occurred this way. Also, weekends specifically Fridays and Saturdays will be the busy nights for us in the neighborhoods. Please do not hesitate to call police for suspicious persons or groups in your community. Our Bike Patrol will will be in operation throughout November. The officers are assigned throughout the week will conduct proactive patrol at the high school football games, special events at Washington Lake Park and Mischief/Halloween Night. I prepared a crime brief for the TownWatch Community. Please disseminate to other concerned citizens in our community.
