Subject: TOWN WATCH

Hello everyone,

Recently, we arrested two young men for criminal trespass. The subjects are driving through neighborhoods looking for open garage doors. They will park a few houses down and walk down to your home. This usually will take place at dusk making it easier to conceal themselves. Subjects will take small items as well as alcoholic beverages. Subjects indicated there [are] others committing such acts so please be aware of your garage door. There are many times when we patrol neighborhoods in the middle the night that we locate these doors open. Many people tend to forget they left it open but the police department would like prevent an intrusion into your home.

Secondly, the weather is slowly getting nice and solicitors will be knocking at your door. Please note that they should be registered at the Municipal building and have a permit in their possession. They may only solicit until 7 pm. If you observe anything suspicious please call police.

Lastly, I am coordinating the 3rd and 4th class of the Junior Police Academy this summer again. For more information, the program is listed in the Washington Twp Parks and Recreation book or call me at #589-8594.

Have a great day,
Cpl. Lee
