Subject: Recent Criminal Activity

Hello Town Watch Members,

I am contacting you in reference to some activity within our community.

First, I would like tell you about the home invasion that had occurred on Saddlebrook Drive on Friday, 1/20/06. I will stress to you this was not a random incident. The victim and his family were targeted by an unknown group for an unknown reason. No arrests have been made but is aggressively being investigated by multiple agencies. These types of incidents usually don't occur randomly. They occur for a specific purpose or motive. Always be aware of suspicious vehicles in your neighborhood. If there any tips or leads in this case, please forward them to me.

Secondly, Extreme Entertainment Night club has officially closed its doors as of last weekend. This club has been a nuisance to the community and has used plenty of police manpower of the past two years since it's been in operation. It apparently closed do to financial reasons. The club has had the following incidents: Distribution of Drugs, drug and alcohol usage, aggravated and simple assaults, disorderly persons, resisting arrest, gang activity and more. The next time we have a business of this nature try to make entry in town, we need to get organized and plan a meeting.

Lastly, there has been an ongoing problem with paint balls being shot at homes and vehicles. One of our Town Watch Captain's residence was shot in the area of Abbington Lane. There has been other reports on Massey Drive, Bentley Drive and other parts of the Wedgewood Community. There has been no damage reported at this time. If anyone has any information on these type of incidents, please call me.

Also, Chief Billingham has gave me authorization to start a Junior Police Academy. It will be geared to middle school age students and will introduce youth to the fascinating career of law enforcement. There will be two sessions each a week long, five hours a day. Please look in the Washington Township Parks and Recreation Activity Book in the mail for further details.

Hope to see or talk to you soon,

Cpl. Bill Lee
