Favorites list vs. unique addresses

An estimated 18 users added SawyersCreek.org to their browser's Favorites list. Visitors from 105 unique IP addresses visited SawyersCreek.org. Since most ISPs assign available IP addresses to users as they connect to the Internet, I believe the number of new people actively visiting SawyersCreek.org is closer to 18 than 105.

Out of 17.39 MB total bandwidth for January 2005, all but 9.79 KB were from IP addresses in the USA. The remainder was from 1 visitor from China, which I assume was due to a search robot or spyware originating or bouncing from a server in China.

Although the appearance of this site should degrade gracefully if viewed with a "non-compliant" browser (i.e. Netscape 4.x), I have noted that the Neighborhood page might not display properly in Netscape 4.x due to the script in that page to display local weather via Weather.com. (In Netscape 4.x the weather display seems to block almost all other content on that page.) But since the user(s) using Netscape are using Netscape 7.1, I need not worry. As I observed in last month's report, visitors to this site seem very computer-literate and have kept up with the latest browsers.
