Landscape Committee Status

2005.01.14

Hi Committee Members!

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a great holiday season. I want to thank you all for signing up to be on the Landscape committee and look forward to working with you.

I want to touch base with everyone to let you know that the Board is working on many issues right now including the sign and landscape plan. We have spoken to the new Mayor Paul Moriarity about Sal Messina and look forward to having Paul attend our next Association Meeting in March. The most important piece of information we need is the actual landscape plan that the builder (Sal Messina) is working from. Our new Community Manager Ann Driscoll is working on getting the latest version. There seems to be a discrepancy between what is suppose to be planted and where, so as soon as we have that we can proceed with laying out additional plans to enhance and beautify our development and with your help it will only be better.

There are some other outstanding issues that need to be clarified before we can even meet. It is not completely a dead issue that KHovnanian finance and build a sign for us. We are still pursing that angle before we concede to use our own association money. If KHov. will pay for it then we can use the $8000 we have to do additional landscaping along Huckleberry and possibly on Douglas or elsewhere.

We are also in contact with the Community Wesleyan Church to see if we could erect a sign on their property. This may not be possible due to electrical lines and insurance issue. Once we have closed in on both these issues I feel as though we can meet and brainstorm some ideas and get the ball rolling.

I would like to meet in February and will keep you all posted as to the date. Please feel free to bring some of your neighbors along for the meeting and of course you can email or call me with any suggestions, concerns, or comments you may have. Check out our website too the address is www.sawyerscreek.org

Look for our next newsletter in the coming weeks with a listing of the fun activities we have coming up this year and...

GO EAGLES!
